WEEKEND DIRTY DOZEN 2/24-2/26

Okay I thought I'd change it up this weekend and pull something from my latest accepted manuscript, Echoes in Eternity. In this scene, the heroine (Layla) is spending time with the older brother for the first time. They are in Cairo, at a restaurant, and dancing after finishing dinner.

Without a word uttered, Layla rose from the chair and walked with him to the dance floor.

Ronan pulled her close holding one hand and putting his other arm around her waist. She felt the warmth of his body as her heartbeat sped up. They moved around the parquet slowly, swaying to the beat of the music. Layla realized more existed between them than the accidental brushing of hands at the table. Chemistry. Embraced in his arms, she realized they fit well together. A definite attraction flowed between them, and she sensed he felt the electricity too. The sensation seemed familiar, like the time spent with Jake in Paris walking the along the Champs Élysées. Things were getting out of control. Attracted to two men, who were brothers, could be a volatile situation. Each had a sensuality that appealed to her in different ways and the mystery about each of them fascinated her as well.

WEEKEND DIRTY DOZEN 2/17-2/19

This week is an excerpt from my WIP, Born Again in Dreams. This scene has Sorin and Fallyn in their special place. Enjoy!

“I would love to know more about you, Fallyn, but I think we need to leave,” he spoke with a heavily accented voice, yet velvety and soft.

“Do we have to?” She pouted.

His eyes closed for a split second, he didn’t want to leave either, but Stefan and Alex had to be wondering what happened. “Yes.” He gave a light smack on her ass cheek, and then he lowered his head and captured her lips, a soft yet passionate kiss. He released her lips and licked his way down her throat, across her collarbone, trailing fiery kisses down her skin until he reached her breast. The woman was like a drug to him, more so than any other in his lengthy existence. The simple intimacy they shared in this sanctuary was one that he didn’t wish to leave, but that was the conundrum he faced. Here, he wasn’t vampire, except he was vampire and that was the reality. Eventually, he’d return to the darkness of the real world.

As his body over-rode his logical thoughts to leave this magical place, he swirled his tongue across her nipple and she moaned.

WEEKEND DIRTY DOZEN 2/10-2/12

Here's my twelve from a WIP, Born Again in Dreams. It is the third in a series and features Sorin and Fallyn. The two have an unusual relationship, he's vampire (nothing unusual there for a paranormal romance) but they meet in dreams. She's been in a coma due to an accident and suffering brain damage. There's a return of the original H/h from Born to Be Wild, a vampire serial killer, and a few more twists. It's unedited, so be kind.

This scene is when the two would-be lovers finally come together, not in their dreams but in "reality".

Sorin silenced her with a crushing kiss. He deepened it, and she made a whimpering sound. Stroking and suckling, he teased her lips apart. Their tongues intertwined and danced, thrusting in and withdrawing for long moments. Fallyn moaned in delight. He kept the pressure on her mouth as his right hand slid over her hip. After he released her arms above her head, she wiggled her hands up under his tight black T-shirt which stretched across his bulging pecs and flat abs. His breath hitched at the unexpected shock of a fingernail flicking and swirling over his nipples, teasing each erect. Mmm, I think she likes it hard and rough.

“Dammit! This isn’t working. Clothes have to go.”
