I'd like to an extend a warm welcome for my guest today~Lindsey Sablowski! I'm honored to have you here Lindsey, so take it away~~

Hi everyone!  I'm Lindsey Sablowski, young adult author of Cursed With Power that will be releasing this fall.  For those of you who don't know me, I enjoy writing about worlds where magic exists.  

 

Today I'd like to share the world within Cursed With Power. (Note: An official release date has yet to be announced)

Where there's magic, there's romance, and when there's romance sometimes there's two blood rivals fighting for the same heart.

 

 

In the darkness they are flames. In the daylight they are shadows.

 

It's 1570 in Transylvania, and the Prince has declared that only five Dark magicians remain living.  He warns the people that these magicians are "monsters," and their "sins" will no longer be tolerated.

 

For Celestria Hale this means that she is one of the five, and now she'll have to fight to stay alive.

 

Upon leaving her hometown, she searches for others like herself to find out what has happened to her kind.  She meets Alaire Sencler, another Dark magician with a dangerously sinister past.  Through their travels, Celestria and Alaire come face to face with their enemies.  The White magicians plot against them, developing a conspiracy that will overtake the last of them.  While struggling for survival, Celestria must also come to terms with her sister's death.  But how can she be certain her sister is dead when she has horrifying dreams that suggest otherwise?

 

The battle's already begun, and only the most powerful force will prevail.  Everyone shows a longing hunger in their eyes, but their greed for power is only the beginning of a war raging between darkness and light.  With the war approaching to determine the fate of magicians, Celestria fears for her and Alaire's existence.  Not to mention if she reveals her true desires for him, she might lose everything.

Destiny may find them, but will it enough?

 

 

Watch out, Celestria.  You can play with fate all you like, but when you mess with destiny... You'll get burned.
